Richard Lee Peterman

	Richard Lee Peterman, 71, died at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2003 at Jackson County Rehab and Care Center.
	He was born September 24, 1931 in Eldorado to Fred and Blondel Peterman.  He married Floy Sue Pike on October 27, 1951 in Evansville, Indiana.  She survives.
	He attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, majoring in Business Administration.  He was a photographer in Peoria.  He was in the Grocery business for 50 years, a past Kroger Manager in Evansville, Indiana, West Frankfort and Du Quoin.  He was a co-owner and manager of Boren's IGA in Carbondale.
	He was a member of Masonic Lodge #234 in Du Quoin for 39 years.
	He was a past Sunday School teacher, President of John A. Logan Antique Club and Rotary Club of Du Quoin.  He was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Carbondale for 33 years.
	He was an avid antique collector, loved to camp and spend time in the wilderness.  Most of all he loved and cherished his family and spending time with them.
	He is survived by his wife, Sue of Carbondale; one daughter, Deborah Ann Mannino and son-in-law, Sam Mannino of Du Quoin; one son, Michael Lee Peterman and daughter-in-law, Gail Lynn Peterman of Carbondale; three grandchildren, Melissa Ann Mannino Cobin and husband Tim Cobin of Du Quoin, Justin Michael and Jenna Renee Peterman of Carbondale and one brother-in-law, Thomas E. Humphrey of Evansville, Indiana.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.
	The visitation was Friday, February 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m. by Masonic Lodge #234, Du Quoin.
	The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Carbondale with Rev. John Annable officiating.  Burial was in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro.
	Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Carbondale.
